These socks look very nice and are smooth and comfortable. They are not very thick, but seem warm. They stay up well, and come up to just below my knees. My pair runs small; I wear a size 8 shoe and have slim legs, and they are quite snug. I don't put them in the dryer, and stretch them out some while they are damp. If you have a larger foot, they may be too tight for you.
