Durvet MSM EQ Joint Support Supplement provides 10,000 mg of 99% pure MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) in a tasty apple flavor.

MSM is a naturally occurring sulfur compound that helps horses with stiffness and discomfort brought on by exercise and strenuous activities. Sulfur is found abundantly in keratin, a major component of hair, hooves, and skin, and it's included in some horse skin, coat and hoof supplements.

MSM may also help with itchy skin due to environmental or seasonal conditions, and can help maintain normal respiratory function. Research has shown that MSM protects tissues against the damaging effects of exercise and stress.

In 2001 Dr. Ron Riegel, DVM released a study of 30 racing Standardbreds and confirmed that MSM had far-reaching effects on the ability of equine muscle tissue to rebound from exercise stress. Along with his findings, MSM is known as an excellent source of dietary sulfur, a mineral involved in the integrity of collagen, cartilage, hooves, and hair, as well as joint fluid and many important enzymes.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT:

  • Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) 99%................10,000 mg.

    DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  • For Use in Equines Only.
  • Loading: Administer 2 scoops (20g) per day for 1 week.
  • Maintenance: Administer 1 scoop (10g) per day.
  • Enclosed scoop measures approximately 10g or 1 tablespoon.

    CAUTIONS:

  • Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven.
  • Use this product with caution in animals with a known allergy to sulfur.
  • If animal's condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration and consult your veterinarian.
