Shires Fine Mesh Fly Mask With Nose and Air Stream Ears

Bought this after reading the reviews. Needed a black fly mask that was a lighter weight and could allow more air in to circulate than our previous mask did, and this on fit the bill. The horse is happier in the heat and high humidity now, and we are happier he is more comfortable! The great price was an terrific bonus! Thanks Chick's!

Purchased this in advance last year on sale for this summer season. I have a bald face horse (all white face) and really love the nose coverage in the Florida sun. The mesh is super fine, durable and easy to clean. There is excellent clearance from the eyes (which most brands fail to have). The nose piece easily detaches for when the horse is undercover, and I just need fly protection. The nose end also has a nice cushy liner to pad the area where the nose piece disconnects, so no zipper edges will rub the skin. The Velcro straps are WIDE and secure very well! The ear covering material is very breathable. I will be purchasing a second one to replace my Cashel easy ride mask. This is a far better product to use while grazing or over bridle.

Living in Florida I like to use a sheer mask on my bald face horse all year during riding to protect from sun and insects. Shires always delivers a nice product and this is no exception. The color ( blue) is brilliant and looks great on my horse. Nice fastening system and durable fabric. Roomy enough to wear over bridle. Very happy I purchased this item.

The large horse size fits a Belgium cross perfectly. And the horse size fits a smaller headed quarter horse very nicely though it is about a 1/2 inch too long in the nose. My horses are very picky and often don't leave masks on, these they leave on even in the heat.
