They pull hay from the 2 3/4" holes all around the ball. As they graze the ball moves about in the stall, turnout pen or pasture. The ball is durable enough for them to play with it too!
This new innovative way to slow down your horse or pony's hay intake helps simulate natural grazing head position. Can be used by equines, goats, sheep, and other livestock too! The screw top allows you to open it easily and add hay.
Feeding horses hay by a slow-feed method helps slow down those fast eaters, is great for horses that are stalled up or on rest and are subject to boredom, and keep the hay confined so it can not be stomped on or spread around.
This ball holds approximately a flake and a half of hay.
Ball is 16" in diameter with 2 3/4" feeding holes.
