just so helpful to be able to access touch screen devices without taking ones gloves off! The 'magic' in the tips have not survived being washed in the machine so I hand wash and am good to go!

Yes you can really text and do other phone things with these gloves. The gloves are lightweight, but if you pair them with fingerless gloves with a mitten cover, your hands will actually stay warm in really cold weather.
