Traditional Rawhide Romal Reins!
These hand-braided natural rawhide Romal reins feature supple natural rawhide with hand-braided rawhide knots and barrel accents and a 4' x 1/4" with 4" quirt and basket weave leather poppers. These reins are flexible and are a somewhat heavy rein that is made to prevent excess swinging and to aid in control of your horse.
Romal reins are historically associated with the vaquero tradition of western riding, and today is most often seen in western pleasure and equitation classes at horse shows for certain horse breeds that are shown in the "California style" of western riding, or in other western events in regions of the United States and Canada that are most influenced by the vaquero style.
