Rugged Ride Big Eye Lycra Fly Mask with Forelock Hole - Solids

My horse is 17hh with a face that is sort of in between sizes. But I am so thankful the Large Horse size fit him perfectly! Finding fly masks that fit are a pain! Easy to put on, without the zipper my smaller horse’s fly mask has. Easy just slip on no fighting a zipper or Velcro!

I didn't realize i ordered with ears had to cut off for my donks but was easy to put over head seems a little wide strip down the middle of mask . But works ok

What the description doesn't tell you is that the eye mesh is a large stiff mesh cup so when you put the mask on your innocent horse's face it looks like they are wearing one of Madonna's pointy mesh bras from the 80's.....also the sizing runs small, I bought pony sized for my slender faced yearlings and they're a bit snug at the throat area.

These fly masks are great. the knats and flies had eaten my mini horses ears until they were bleeding and swollen, even though they are on Garlic. Put these masks on about 2 weeks ago and they are doing so much better, ears are healing up and no more rubbing. I am ordering 4 more to have on hand in case another one has problems. only 1 has rubbed hers off (twice) so since I don't leave halters on in the pasture, i used a grooming collar to run thru the tab and now it can't come off. Great price and fits true to size.

I bought five of these in the horse size. One of our mules injured her eye last year and must keep a mask on at all times. I like the tight fit and large eye holes. It is too wide between the eyes for our mules and Foxtrotter so we are going to try some modifications so they fit better and don’t cover part of the eye.

I ordered the "horse" size for my Arab because he is large for his breed, though he does have an "Arabian" head, and sometimes the cob sizes don't fit. I ordered the "large horse" size for my Thorougbred. I ended up having to use the large horse for the Arab as the horse size wasn't even close to going on. The large horse size fits him well, though I'm not crazy about having to bend his ears so far forward to get it on. Once it is on, he seems very comfortable in it, as evidenced by the fact that he has not tried to rub it off. He has destroyed many masks this way but this one basically still looks new, after wearing it practically nonstop for the past two weeks. I love the big eye protective area too. I just wish there was another size up so I could get one on my TB!

Bought fir my small mini. It’s really small. The eyes are huge for such a small mask and the mesh is quite stiff. But she looks adorably like a bug in it. Should’ve gone slightly bigger but hard to tell until you buy one.

FIrst off, they are durable. My boys are rough and they've held up for the week we've used them. They do stain easy tho. But horses are dirty. I have two miniatures- one is a 36" mini with a short proportioned head- he wears a 31"bridle if that helps. The pony size does not fit him. Way too big. My other is a 40" mini/Shetland/IDK with long weird head. It's shaped like an Arab's, with a wide forehead, which is what makes it so hard finding flymasks that fit and give enough clearance for his eyes. He wears a 33" bridle, but it's that giant forehead! The pony size is not a small pony. It's more like a cob size. I had 2 14h Arabs these would fit pretty well. I ended up sewing these up by about 2-3" and they now fit my larger mini. I also had to fold back the nose about an inch also, because otherwise it just touches his nostrils. I later bought 2 mini sized for the smaller mini and they fit well enough. It could be about a half inch to an inch bigger both around and lengthwise but they do the job for him. The mini size will NOT fit the larger mini. I wish there was a size between mini and pony for the larger minis/smaller ponies. I'd recommend for durability for other horses, but not for fit for a small pony.

This fly mask is excellent. The mesh over the eyes is a lot stronger and stays away from their eyes. The snug fit keeps insects from getting under it. The price is great.

The fit was perfect and the "big eye" design was exactly what my TB needed to keep the mesh away from his eyes. I absolutely recommend this version of a lycra fly mask!

I love the snug fit and that the eye guards are not close to horses eyes. I also love the hole for the forelock. The one problem I had was getting it over my horses head, and one I got for my mini, over his head. I had to cut a slit in both underneath parts of both of the necks to get over their heads. The hole for that was really small for some reason and could not stretch it enough. I did get the correct size for both horse and mini.
