We live in South Florida and the tiny gnats are a constant problem. My horse was constantly flinging his head as they buzzed around his nose. I felt so bad for him. He's had this mask on now for about a week and thankfully the head flinging has stopped. He is soooo much more comfortable. I did have to trim the fringe as it was way too long, but so happy to have found something that works for my guy.

These fly masks are the best for trail rides!
The ears and fringe do a great job of protecting my horse’s face, especially if I spritz the mask with fly spray before putting it on him.
I wouldn’t use it for pasture turnout though-the mesh won’t hold up to being rubbed on the ground or trees.

My mare literally wears this 24/7- she HATES no-see-ums, and here in New England we always have them. She loves this mask. Only issue I have is that I had to cut the long strands to accomodate the length I wanted (they are super long). Another negative is that they tend to fray and look a bit of a mess, but she still loves it. I love the light-colored screen/mesh too.

Highly recommend this mask. Have only had a month but my guys have worn them daily. Keeps the flys off their noses but doesn't get dirty like the full nose type masks.

My only complaint is that the tassels are too long. Both my horses stepped on them while grazing and ripped out tassels and part of mesh. Trying to fix by trimming tassels. We’ll see how that works.
Mesh bubbles nicely over eyes. Lots of padding to prevent rubbing. Nice two strap connection.
