I have used Equi-Spot for my outside (with run-in access) every summer for years. I watch the horses's tails during the day. If the switching becomes intense, it is time to apply a fresh dose down the backbone of the horse. It is easy to apply and usually lasts from 2-3 weeks.

Works great! Been using for many many years. We have bad ticks in Northern Wyoming. Some horses do not tolerate it very well, but others are just slightly irritated by it when first applied, then ok. So be careful when applying, because some horses start stomping and kicking when first applied.
