Leather Breakaway Halter Converter

I purchased a lovely halter for my mare that did not have a breakaway feature. The halter converter turned my beautiful halter into a safe option for my mare which is required at the stable where I board!

So glad I found this! It is less expensive than having breakaway halters in the different sizes. The way it is made I think it will work better too. The only suggestion I might make is making them in a smaller size to fit weanling, pony and big colt sized halters that have narrower nylon straps.

The leather was sewn back wards and the stap itself was a bit to wide to fit our harness.

I purchased these breakaway converters because I did not need any more halters. These work great. Just buckle them on a nylon halter and you instantly have a breakaway halter. I have to keep a halter over the fly mask I have on my horse when he is in the pasture so he keeps his fly mask on. I have no fear of him getting injured if his halter gets caught up on something since I have been using these.

This was my second order of the halter converters. We were in a trailer accident and thank goodness my horse had 1 of these on at the time because the halter released he was able to walk away with just a few scratches. I won't tie any of my horses up without one of these on their halters, worth waaaay more then they charge for them

WOW, I feel so much better having put on my halters that are not breakaway already. Easy as one-two-three!
