They work for a reasonable option. I restrung the top closure with a stronger rope to hang it from and see the closing top easier. The holes are a bit on the large size and the horses can pull out more than they need to at one time but then they eat most of what they drop on the ground. This is a much better solution than just putting the hay on the ground or in a trough.
