The name plate comes covered to avoid scratches in shipping. The halter is a little stiff but should soften with conditioning and use. My daughter loves it!

Excellent item! I've purchased about 8 of these halters over the past 3 years for several impt reasons. 1. Good quality, heavy leather with strong stitches that does soften perfectly. 2. They will break away which prevents harm. Also love the nameplate, simple yet classic. Best halters ever, will keep coming back!!!

I purchased the black halter, and it is very nice - esp for the price. It comes stiff, but i'm sure after i do the first cleaning with some oil, it will soften nicely. the engraving is done well also. i would definitely purchase again!

It's a decent leather halter, and with the nameplate option makes it worth the money. I got this halter on sale-$26 with nameplate. At full price it's still a good deal but I would wait for a sale. Leather is stiff, and not of the greatest quality. Then again, I wouldn't spend the money on a very nice one given that my horse likes to chew on leather....

I was honestly a little worried about the quality of this halter but ordered one anyway. The sale was a bargain and being able to have my horses name on it was what sweetened the deal for me. I was pleasantly surprised when the halter came. It has nice hardware and is adjustable on the nose and crown which is nice as my mare has a large head. Thanks for offering such a quality halter at a nice price!

$30 bucks for a name plate leather halter is pretty sketchy. I was worried it would be really bad quality or really ugly lol. I was highly impressed when it arrived. It’s not the highest quality, but again you’re only paying $30 bucks for a personalized name plate halter! It is GREAT for a starter halter. Please keep in mind it takes 7-10 days to ship this, so if you’re ordering something else with this halter like I did, the whole order is held.

I purchased this halter in brown, horse size. It fits my Reining bred gelding very well and looks striking on, it does not look like a $30 halter! The engraving is perfectly positioned. I would definitely repurchase this item!

This halter is gorgeous. I got the black one for my chestnut quarter horse, and it looks beautiful on her! A word of warning, the leather is extremely stiff when you first get it. I had to work it in my hands to get it to be pliable enough to comfortably put it on her. But it’s fantastic, and can’t beat that price! 😊
