Rugged Ride STAY UP Fly Boots - Set of 4. Made from breathable mesh, these fly boots features 50% more sewn-in STAY UP technology. Our boots have 3 polymer stays while the leading competitor has only two. Rugged Ride STAY UP boots wrap securely with heavy-duty full length Velcro for durability and breakaway safety. Offers season-long protection and minimizes stomping and swishing by just simply keeping the flies off your equine's legs.
These leggings style fly boots have breathable mesh that does not allow biting flies to penetrate and eliminates botfly eggs from being laid, all while allowing air to circulate, which is especially comfortable for healing wounds. Your horse will be under less stress and have less leg fatigue and hoof cracks from constant stomping.
NOTE: Please refer to the sizing chart on measuring for the proper fit of these boots. The boots should be adjusted slightly smaller than the hairline at the top of the hoof, so that they rest just above the coronet band. This keeps the boot from sliding down over the hoof, preventing your horse from walking on the boots.

Seem well constructed, the extra stay will help keep the boots up and the use of webbing under the stays at the bottom should increase longevity. Well priced too!

I have these boots on 2 horses (front legs) to help reduce stomping to protect their shoes and legs. They do seem to be helping, and both horses are leaving them alone. The velcro is nice and strong, and the color is great. I have the teal and like it very much. It has been dry here, so I haven't had much mud yet, but I'm sure they'll need to be hosed out when it is muddy. Would purchase again.

I have several sets of these now, in all sizes from mini to lg horse. Overall they work very well. I noticed that the horse sizes stay on better than the pony size, probably because the Velcro is wider. I would like to see an additional Velcro tab at the bottom like there is at the top. This would keep the bottom from spreading open and the legging slipping over the hoof. Otherwise they are sturdy and easy to clean.

Bought 2 sets, one for my adult horse and one for my yearling. The ones for my adult horse work very well. The ones for the yearling didn't hold up well. Very first day two of the stays in one legging became unattached and I can't get them back in the slots, so can't use one of the four. Recommend with reservations for a young horse.

I have been very happy with these boots. They fit and stay up much better than the fitted boots. The only thing I would change is a wider velco at the bottom. This is the only problem area that I have found. They come loose at the bottom and slide over the hoof.

These are well made and keep their shape to stay up. The velcro is super strong and almost difficult to pull apart to take off. They work as well as shoo fly leggings I bought in the past. I love the colors.

I've tried other brands and they are usually destroyed after one summer. So I wanted to try these when I needed new ones. I love the color choices (more purple please). They are the best! They stay on! Also a little taller than some. I have a Quarter Horse and the horse size fits perfectly.

Ordered two sets one cob one horse. True to size. If you have any extra bone in your horse go to large horse. I’ve been using these for a few weeks now and three of them need extra sewing reinforcement coming loose from the Velcro. If you have a sewing machine handy not a big deal just re-stitch.

My horse is on the line between horse and large horse, so I use horse size on his front legs and large horse on his hind legs. They stay on very well and I have been happy with how they have been holding up. He is prone to summer sores, so I keep them on him all the time.
