Rugged Ride Rawhide Braided Rope Halter/Bridle with Matching Reins

It’s very pretty. It’s huge so you either need to cut it down or just have a bunch of extra rope hanging. Mine came with multiple spots where it looks like it got snagged and pulled out fabric. Also came so twisted up it was set up to go to the right side of the horses face not left but after adjusting everything it looked good on.

Nicely made but the horse size is huge. I have a average size Appaloosa and it looks like this combo is for a draft horse. After several hours of moving knots and cutting excess off I was able to get it to fit her properly. It's soft and she seems comfortable in it. I recommend it as long as you have the time and patience to make all the adjustments for a normal sized horse.

I thought this would be good to start colts their first couple rides. Keeping something familiar like a rope halter on the first few rides helps. They are already familiar with the pressure and signals in a rope halter from doing ground work in the rope halter, then using this first rides is awesome!! Worked perfectly. It acts just like a rope halter but is a little more secure and doesnt slide around the horses head. I moved the knots around a little bit to make it fit small quarter horse heads a little better. But overall, a great item to keep in the tack room!! Great price too.
