NEW Reinforced Design!

Rugged Ride Slow Feed Hay Bag is tough, smart, and highly practical. Easy to fill-top loads and flap goes over the opening and secures down the back side to keep your horse from "cheating" and eating out of the top opening. Rods along the top sides keep rigid shape for easier loading.

Heavy nylon webbed front to help reduce hay waste. Adjustable strap with snap at top can be hooked to trailer or stall rings. Hay lasts longer, keeps your horse busy, relieves boredom in the stall or trailer.

Constructed with durable nylon sides with a mesh bottom to allow dirt and dust to fall through. Rigid design features two rods in the top edge, allowing the bag to hold its shape at all times.

Measures: 22" x 19" x 9" with 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" openings in web front.

The hay bag is sturdy and just the right size for my Shetlands. I definitely would order more.

In the Pacific Northwest rain for days on end in winter can leave a horse bored as heck in a pasture with run-in shelter. My Thoroughbred lives on pellets but in colder, rainier months I supplement his intake with Timothy. This bag survives his yanking, twisting and other playfulness when it’s empty. Easiest to fill because of the bars built in at the top. Flap with Velcro at the back keeps hay where you put it. I prefer this 2-strap model to the one with just a single strap. Why? See note about twisting. Also bought another type of feed bag with a single hole in front. Didnt last because of the way it’s built — strap isn’t well integrated so when it was played with, the design failed. Trashed after 3 months of occasional use.

I bought one of these for my goats. I’m seeing less waste of hay. It even works well with chopped hay in it for the goats. It would probably work well for my horse but I don’t need it for her.

It's easy to load and like that the top has a flap to close. Holds a good 3+ flakes. The price was good (bought on sale) would buy it again and recommend.

We camp with our horses and tie them to the trailer when we tack up. This bag is perfect to keep the horses occupied while we tack up, long web straps fits perfect between the tie rings so the bag sits on the fender of the trailer. Both horses can eat hay without the bag sliding to one horse, they can share. The back side is no scratch and holds more than enough hay and very easy to fill. Love it!

Bought one to try it out in my slant trailer. I like that they lay flat for dividers to open with easy to eat out of bags that secure well. We are now re-habbing a new horse on limited food. I purchase another. Super easy to put a flake or 2 in and have a back up bag to clip up. Easy to load. Easy to secure. Easy to fit in slant load. Love these.

The bag lives up to its name of rugged. The top of the bag is reinforced to keep its shape and well-placed velcro keeps the top of the bag closed and the cover secured on the back side. My chickens loved to lay eggs in my previous bags, messing up the hay. That does not happen with the Rugged Ride bag. The webbing on the front of the bag allows the goats and alpacas to grab hay but not too much at one time. The waste is reduced and they eat more slowly.
