No-Knot Cording Will Not Stretch Over Time!

Say goodbye to soiled and trampled round bale hay! Tough1 round bale feeders are designed to reduce hay waste and slow down speedy eaters. Made of durable black poly cord these nets feature fixed openings, no knots, that will not stretch out over time like other brands. Create a more natural slow feeding experience for your four-legged friends and save money by getting the most from each bale!

For 6' x 6' Round Bales.

How To Cover Bale:

  • METHOD #1: If using heavy equipment, as pictured below, you can cover the bale with the net while it is suspended up off the ground at a workable level. Find the bottom of the hay net and start wrapping the bale to completely cover the bottom and pull up over the sides. Set the bale down and pull the rest of the net over the top and cinch up the drawstring. Position the bale in the field in either fashion; on its side or top/bottom. Tie off the excess drawstring and pull it through inside the net.
  • METHOD #2: Place the bale where you will be leaving it for consumption. Flip the bale over so the bottom side is up, Find the bottom of the net and drape it over and pull down along the sides. Flip the bale over on its bottom and stretch the rest of the net up to the top. Cinch the drawstring up tight, tie off, and hide the excess inside the netted bale.

I've only been using it for four days but I can already see it's time to buy more nets. It took a couple of days for the horses to adjust to the change but now then are doing fine and its saving me a lot of time and energy and MONEY. The first time getting the net on the bale without instructions was frustrating and a royal pain but now that i know to do it I expect it to be easier. I am not sure what took me so long to try this but I am a happy believer now.

I save about 40% of my hay using this hay net. Now they can no longer rip it out of the hay ring and use it for bedding. Good quality, plenty of room for bigger bales. Wish I bought it a long time ago.

I purchased this net based on the no-knot design. And that part of it is right on. And it has greatly cut down on waste, which is what I want. But . . . This net is huge!!!! It will also fit my larger square bales. Because of its size it is awkward to maneuver, but not hard to put on. Its like putting a sock on a kid - bunch it up at the closed end and slip it over. I do it with the bale on the spear on the bucket. I also added a colored rope along one of the side seams to make bunching easier - I can find the color amongst the black netting.

Just put them on the bales. Hopefully it helps reduce hay waste and over eating. Nets are long enough to almost get two 5x5 bales in but think it would be tough to get anything bigger than a 5 ft bale into the opening. At least they are better made than he previous bag I bought.

We are very happy with this hay net. Our horses were wasting half of their hay, because they pulled out twice as much as they ate and walked all over it. It's an excellent, sturdy product.

Fantastic item - so glad I ordered this. 4 horses were eating a round bale in 2-3 days!!! With this net, that same bale lasts them a week. And much less hay is wasted. It's also easier to attach a tarp to this net for rainy weather.
