Tough-1 Synthetic Mink Muzzle Liner

Unless you need a very thin layer of padding on your grazing muzzle due to size/fit issues, go with the true sheepskin version of this product. These synthetic mink liners are half the cost of the sheepskin version and also work half as well and last half as long. Because they are so light, they tend to shift and droop which can allow rubs. The velcro is plenty strong enough, but the material it attaches to is not so the strips tear out easily. Also, make sure you get the correct size - we use large horse sized Easy Breathe muzzles and unless you get the "large" sized liner they will not fit. In fairness, I do use these in cases where, due to size, I have to go with thin padding (we pad the nose and jaw of the muzzles, so in the case of the larger nosed horses we use a natural liner on the nose and the synthetic on the jaw side). I just accept that I will have to watch them carefully and replace them more often.
