Fine if you need a small container

I calculated this out with the dimension to about 7 quarts (I was wanting 5qts)...it was NOT. Unfortunately the measurements are for the ENTIRE container, including the hanger for the rail, so it was much smaller than I was expecting (just barely 5 quarts). Seems very nice hefty quality with bold colors but disappointing for me that it wouldn't work for my horses and too expensive to return.

sturdy, thick plastic, seems the same as most feed buckets in quality. This is the size of a shoebox.... meant for small amounts.

I bought these little feeders to use for free choice minerals and salt for my horses. They are really durable and easy to hang or attach onto panel bars or 2x4s. Perfect size for smaller supplement amounts or smaller animals.

My quarter horse has a hard time fitting his nose in. It's a good product but I would not suggest this for a full size horse (maybe a miniature or pony)
