This 600 denier midweight turnout is just what you need in most winter climates. It features waterproof and breathable 600 denier outer shell, windproof construction, 210 Nylon lining, and 200 grams of Polyfil for warmth. It has an integrated combo neck, shoulder gussets for freedom of movement, low cross surcingles, double buckle front with quick clips, full coverage tail flap, and adjustable leg straps that help keep the blanket down and in place.

This is the 4th blanket I have had to order for my colt and I was so surprised that it ended up working perfectly! I was at my wits end because even though we measured him, the first blanket was so big that he could crawl out the neck opening somehow. We downsized twice and were experiencing the very same issue. This guy could Houdini out the neck hole every time. I was stumped and by then it was slim pickings on blankest sizes, colors and overall choices and then I came across this one. I figured what the heck. At least I have several for him to grow into but this one has been the absolute lifesaver. He hasn't figured out how to get out of it and also it fit perfectly! Thank goodness for chunky ponies because this blanket had the perfect amount of body space for a yearling paint colt that should be nicknamed Houdini!

Measuring For a Horse Blanket

Have your horse stand still (if possible!) on flat, level ground.

Measure from the center of your horse's chest around the shoulder at the widest part, to the center of the tail. This measurement is easiest to obtain with a soft fabric measuring tape.

This measurement - in inches - is your blanket size.
