The Derby House Elite Stormsafe Rug from the Derby House Elite Collection is the perfect rug for our wet summer seasons. 300 denier inter-locking nylon mesh provides the perfect barrier for flies, coupled with a full 1200 denier waterproof turnout strip down the neck and back, this rug is perfect for keeping your horse dry whilst protecting from biting insects.

The stormsafe sheet fits true to size. It keeps them dry and the pesky insects at bay. Both my horses have them. I also use them 24/7 spring and fall temperatures 40+-76 degrees Fahrenheit. Highly recommended the stromsafe sheets.

Love this rain combo fly sheet. I purchased one and was so happy with EVERYTHING about it. The ripstop nylon mesh holds up to the vegetation in my horses pasture and provides great ventilation and protection from the elements, flies and cheeky horses. The sheet is true to size. I purchased another one for my other horse. The horses stay dry on the rainy summer days and warm on the cooler spring and fall evenings. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this storm sheet.

So I bought this for my 17h1" ottb, he is hard on everything, it made it a week before he started tearing up the front of it. I think due to the top back of the chest closure is just too tight even if I put it on the last hole. He also sweats under it which I'm sure is not comfortable. I will have it repaired and use it this fall. I think it was high quality for the price. It was size 84" for reference.

Bought in 2024 for a very stocky quarter horse that is hard to fit in the shoulders. It fits better than anything else we have. No holes, all the straps are still good. This is for a four year-old horse that is out in the pasture where he can rub on things. The neck cover stays up good. The only thing I don’t like about it is it’s too hot for a warm days

This sheet is fantastic and a great deal for the price. I’ve been using the Rambo summer sheet for a few years and love it, but after my horse got a new turn out neighbor it was far too easy for them to rip so I couldn’t justify spending $200+ on another. I purchased this instead, and I am super impressed with the fit and the quality. I bought my horse’s normal size and it fits just fine. It is a heavier fabric than the Rambo, likely the most heavy duty fabric you will find with this sort of rain sheet/fly sheet hybrid without being too hot. I would not hesitate to buy another one, highly recommend!

Have not tested it in the rain yet but the quality seems to be excellent. The fit was exactly as stated. My horse wears a 78 Rambo. I measured him according to the directions and purchased a 78 and it’s an exact fit. The belly straps are long. I have them as short as they’ll go and I’d have them a little shorter if I could (crossed properly). I’m not sure about durability but I love the idea of this and what a great price! I’m trying to get rid of rain rot and it keeps raining so I was looking for a sheet for hot weather

Only thing I found bad about this fly sheet is the durability is NOT heavy duty. But thats to be expected with fly sheet material.
I bought a severely sensitive mare who's deathly allergic to bug bites of any kind. Also she hates being in any type of barn/run in and if she gets rained on she is more susceptible to rain rot than other horses. Fly sprays irritate her sensitive skin so blanketing is our only option.This sheet checks all our boxes for this mare. She wore all last summer and fall and loved it. Never broke out in hives and not one speck of rain rot. She's a big Aqha stands 16.2 hands and a size 81 fit perfectly. Didn't rub her mane or chest, buckles are adjustable on the chest and neck. I can keep one sheet on for 3 seasons and even through a nasty thunder storm with heavy HEAVY rain, this sheet held up and only the lower sides of her belly got wet.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND especially if your low maintenance and you don't need one of everything for your equine.

Have a horse that breaks out in hives from flies and mosquitoes. This fly sheet keep him protected and works great. So far it has held up (2 weeks of 24/7 wear). I like that he can put his head down and his neck is still fully covered and does not get super tight. Measured 74” and got the 75” and it’s a little large, but would rather it be a little too big then too small. Belly bands are on the tightest and are still pretty loose, so if you have a thin horse, that may be an issue

our mare is 15hands with a petite width chest, and a very long neck. this rugged fly sheet fits perfectly, except the length of the neck cover is far too long. about 1' foot past her poll. I will have to do an alteration. but overall I really like this fly sheet. I would like it more if it had leg straps.

fits my 14.2 mare great. rugged and very pretty. only issue the belly straps are a bit too generous, and I will have to do an alteration. she is on the petite side, and the chest fits perfectly and has plenty of adjustment options if you have a wide bodied horse.

Blanket
Have your horse stand still (if possible!) on flat, level ground.
Measure from the center of your horse's chest
around the shoulder at the widest part, to the center of the tail. This measurement is easiest to obtain with a soft fabric measuring
tape.
This measurement - in inches - is your blanket size.
