Rugged Ride Rainbow Print Fly Mask Without Ears

Great looking and good quality at a reasonable price.

Having long been a fly mask snob and only buying Kensington masks for years, I got in a bind when my new horse needed a smaller mask than all my Kensingtons. While I waited for my new Kensingtons to arrive, I borrowed what I thought of as one of these disposable masks. In comparison, they're flimsy and I thought my horse would rip & destroy it immediately. I still love Kensington and they make amazing quality products, but I've purchased 6 of these Rugged Ride masks and they have a place in my barn for sure. I actually think they fit my horse better, and the fit is flexible. The full horse size mask fit my dainty horse's head whereas I had to go down a size in Kensington. These Rugged Ride horse size masks also fit the beefy QH head of the person I borrowed it from, and my regular horse size Kensington mask is too small for him. That means this one size Rugged Ride mask fits horses requiring 3 different size Kensington masks so the versatility is great. Because the Rugged Ride masks are soft, they don't rub under the jowls like the Kensingtons would when grazing. I was shocked at how durable the soft the thin Rugged Ride masks are. My oldest mask does now have a couple of small holes but it's still functional-he hasn't destroyed one yet. He can get it off, same as the Kensington, but it's a lot easier to spot the rainbow or zebra print in the field vs the less vibrant tones of Kensington. And then there's the price: I can buy 4 Rugged Ride masks for the price of one Kensington. The Rugged Ride masks don't stay looking as nice as the Kensington because the mesh will get fuzzy over time. But, visibility thru the mask is still fine, it washes well, it works & has a flexible fit, it holds up, and it's cheap enough to afford extras to keep on hand. That all means that I'll keep coming back to these Rugged Ride masks in the future. Thanks to the person who loved me a mask I never would have thought twice about trying!

I ordered three of these for my two mules and a horse. Not only did they arrive early but they are working wonderfully. Lightweight and super strong velcro closures, I could not be happier. These 3 equines tear up their fly masks rubbing their heads on things, these masks are holding up way better than the more expensive ones and seem more comfortable to the animals.

Love them they are soft mesh so easy to put on and the horses love them
